Beca de estudios Alberto Villalón Galdames
En 1947 el abogado Alberto Villalón Galdames fue becado por el gobierno de los Estados Unidos para estudiar Bibliotecología, luego de desarrollar su tesis de grado donde propuso una clasificación del derecho chileno.
En 1948 obtuvo el grado de Bachelor of Arts en Bibliotecología y en 1949 el grado de Master of Arts in Libraries Science en la Universidad de Michigan (Villalón y Pimstein,1970 y Freudenthal, 1972, p. 255).
